    Program Overview
Emerging data makes it increasingly clear that patients with T2DM may have a spectrum of causal etiologies and associated features that provide potential for more individualized treatment approaches. The Education Station™ activity will begin with an overview of personalized medicine in T2DM. Participants will have the option of selecting from modules discussing the influence of patient-related factors such as race and ethnicity, genetic characteristics, cardiovascular disease status, A1C level and glycemic profiles, age and duration of T2DM, and body mass index (BMI) status on individualizing therapy. The activity will conclude with remarks from the faculty highlighting key takeaways from each of the 6 modules.
